Win an electric scooter with the eiver challenge
At eiver, we like to be in tune with the times!
So for our “E-Prix de Paris” challenge available on our app (from March 1 to May 30, 2019), we chose as endowment, guess what? An electric scooter 🙂
This is a Xiaomi Mi Electric Scooter. It is capable of bearing 100Kg and can reach a maximum speed of 25Km / h. It has an autonomy of 30Km thanks to its battery with a capacity of 7800 mAh.
It must be said that this machine has it in the belly. It will make your walks much more incredible.
The end of anarchy for the electric scooter
The craze for electric scooters leads to certain abuses. This is why we strongly insist on caution and safety at eiver. In fact, trauma related to falls on scooters is increasing sharply, especially in urban areas.
Prefer to wear a helmet and be advised to move at reduced speed. We do not recommend, for example, riding an electric scooter … on the motorway (yes, yes that has already happened)!
This is just one example among many, but these abuses are prompting the city of Paris to take steps to frame this trend. Know that Lyon has already done so. It’s only a matter of time before a special electric scooter road code comes into being….
Today, it is still unclear. If we refer to official texts, electric scooters “are prohibited on public roads (sidewalks and traffic lanes) ”. In that case, where do they roll? Only on private roads … if not, it can go up to a year in prison and a fine of 15,000 euros.
However, the mobility orientation bill is being prepared which should authorize these new ecological and urban means of travel.
