The golden rule (when driving) for a ZEN ride is to anticipate<\/h2>\n

When you know you’re going to slow down, or stop (at a red light, for example), try reducing your speed or slow down as soon as possible while maintaining the speed in order your car continues its course to the object of slowing (or stopping). You can use your engine brake<\/a> to save fuel, it will allow you to slow down gradually.<\/p>\n

For example if you see a red light at a distance, release the accelerator and brake a bit if necessary, as soon as possible, hoping that you can keep a little speed when the light turns green … The idea is to get to the light having lost some of the kinetic energy of the car. Anticipation is key in eco-driving. Caution, do not shift to neutral, the effect on consumption is negligible and that safety is disastrous.<\/p>\n

La r\u00e8gle d'or en conduite, pour un trajet ZEN et \u00e9co, c'est l'anticipation.<\/h2>

Quand vous savez que vous allez devoir ralentir, ou vous arr\u00eater (\u00e0 un feu rouge par exemple), essayez de r\u00e9duire votre vitesse ou de freiner le plus t\u00f4t possible<\/span> tout en conservant la vitesse n\u00e9cessaire pour que, sans acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer, votre voiture poursuive sa course jusqu'\u00e0 l'objet du ralentissement (ou de l'arr\u00eat).<\/p>

Par exemple si vous voyez un feu rouge \u00e0 distance, rel\u00e2chez l'acc\u00e9l\u00e9rateur et freinez un peu si n\u00e9cessaire, le plus t\u00f4t possible, en esp\u00e9rant que vous pourrez garder un peu de vitesse au moment o\u00f9 le feu passera au vert... L'id\u00e9e est d'arriver au feu en ayant gard\u00e9 un peu de l'\u00e9nergie cin\u00e9tique de la voiture. L'anticipation est cl\u00e9 dans l'\u00e9coconduite. Attention, ne passez pas au point mort, l'effet sur la consommation est n\u00e9gligeable et celui sur la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 est d\u00e9sastreux.<\/p>
