The rules of two seconds helps keep our distance from the vehicle in front of us. The safety distance has to be respected on any road, at any time.<\/em><\/p>\n

Two seconds between two cars : safety distance respected<\/h3>\n

There should be a minimum interval of 2 seconds between the vehicle in front of you and yours. What does that mean in practice? Whatever your route, look at the vehicle in front and align it with a point on the side of the road (a sign, a tree, a portal …) then count the time your turn to align the mark with your own vehicle.\u00a0If it is less than 2 seconds, then you’re too close and you should slow down.<\/p>\n

If you are driving on an expressway or highway, even easier, look for markings on the right side of the roadway. Long white markings will allow you to spot. we must count at least 2 between the preceding vehicle and yours.<\/p>\n

You will have sufficient distance to stop and avoid a collision.<\/p>\n

\"1La r\u00e8gles des 2 secondes permet de garder ses distances avec le v\u00e9hicule qui nous pr\u00e9c\u00e8de.<\/h2>

Le code de la route le pr\u00e9voit, il faut laisser un intervalle<\/a> de 2 secondes minimum entre le v\u00e9hicule qui vous pr\u00e9c\u00e8de et le v\u00f4tre. Qu'est ce que \u00e7a veut dire concr\u00e8tement ? Quel que soit votre parcours et votre itin\u00e9raire, regardez le v\u00e9hicule qui vous pr\u00e9c\u00e8de et alignez-le avec un point remarquable sur le c\u00f4t\u00e9 de la voie (un panneau, une enseigne, un arbre, un portail...) puis comptez le temps que vous mettez \u00e0 aligner ce rep\u00e8re avec votre propre v\u00e9hicule. Si c'est moins de 2 secondes, alors vous \u00eates trop pr\u00e8s et il faut ralentir.<\/p>

Si vous roulez sur une voie rapide ou sur autoroute, encore plus simple, rep\u00e9rez les marquages au sol sur la droite de la chauss\u00e9e. Les longues marques blanches vont vous permettre de vous rep\u00e9rer. Il faut en compter 2 au minimum entre le v\u00e9hicule pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent et le v\u00f4tre.<\/p>

Vous aurez ainsi la distance suffisante pour vous immobiliser \u00a0et \u00e9viter une collision.<\/p>
