The automatic start and stop is a system many car makers now fit vehicles with. This system linked to the car controls (accelerator, clutch,\u2026) stops the engine when the car is stationary and the gear (manual) on neutral.<\/em><\/p>\n

A simple rule for using the automatic start and stop<\/h3>\n

If on your regular journeys your stopping time (so your \u201cStop\u201d) are longer than 10 seconds then you are in a configuration where your Start-Stop allows you to save on fuel. The longer you stop, the more you save.<\/p>\n

However, if you happen to stop for less than 10 seconds, it is recommended to deactivate your Start-Stop.<\/p>\n

\"startstop<\/a><\/h3>

Le \u201cstart & stop\u201d est un dispositif int\u00e9gr\u00e9 par les constructeurs sur de nombreux mod\u00e8les de v\u00e9hicules. Ce dispositif, li\u00e9 aux p\u00e9dales de commandes du v\u00e9hicule et de sa vitesse, coupe le moteur lorsque celui-ci est \u00e0 l\u2019arr\u00eat et au point mort (pour un v\u00e9hicule avec une boite de vitesse manuelle).<\/h3>

Une r\u00e8gle simple d\u2019usage du Start & Stop<\/b><\/h2>

Si, sur vos trajets r\u00e9guliers, vos temps d\u2019arr\u00eat \u201cStop\u201d sont sup\u00e9rieurs \u00e0 10 secondes alors vous \u00eates dans une configuration o\u00f9 votre \u201cStart & Stop\u201d vous apporte une \u00e9conomie de carburant. Plus vous allongez cette dur\u00e9e plus vous \u00e9conomisez.<\/p>

Sinon, avec des temps d\u2019arr\u00eat inf\u00e9rieurs ou tr\u00e8s inf\u00e9rieurs \u00e0 10 secondes il est opportun de d\u00e9sactiver votre \u201cStart & Stop\u201d.<\/p>
